World-firsts come as no surprise when you’re a leading provider of live casino solutions, and Evolution are proving why they’re the best in their field with another new live casino game – Live Craps.
Set in an authentic underground, speakeasy-style studio, this unique new vertical delivers immersive and modern dice game action while staying true to the original. By taking advantage of modern technology, Evolution have created something truly remarkable while promising it to be easier and more fun to play than ever!
Todd Haushalter, Chief Product Officer at Evolution, said:
“Craps completes the Evolution portfolio in terms of offering every game you can find in a land-based casino. Developing the game and capturing the unique excitement of the Craps table, but in an online setting, was a complex project. The team has done a phenomenal job and we now have a fantastic finished product that I know will thrill Craps enthusiasts in the US, Europe and beyond, as well as attracting legions of new fans.”
He added: “We understand that not everyone knows how to play Craps. That’s why the game has both an ‘Easy Mode’ and a simple online interactive tutorial that clearly explains how to play and enjoy the game. Craps has been our most requested new game by both players and operators for years – now it’s finally here. I think players are going to love it.”
Guide on How to Play Craps
A hugely popular land-based staple, Craps is a game which most players from the US recognise, however, it is a casino game that may not be familiar to us all.
An overwhelming sense may greet those playing for the first time, but thanks to Evolution’s talent for live casino games, Craps Live is a lot easier to understand thanks to the introductions of an easy-to-player interface packed with helpful features.
Suited to both novice and experienced players, Craps comes in live and first-person formats; the former features a real studio setting with a host/dealer, customisable camera angles as well as a countdown timer and chat facility.
Styled to recreate the roaring 20’s, the host/dealer will be dressed to the nines in attire that befits the era, but how do you play? How do you win? The lively, fast-paced game delivers many ways to win and the object of the game is simple. Try to predict the outcome of the roll of two dice!
The tablecloth may look extremely complicated, but Evolution have built-in all the tools players need to make the game run with ease. No scratching of heads required with this one!
#1 – Bet Types
There are two types of bets in Craps: one roll bets and multi-roll bets. One roll bets are exactly how they sound; a bet placed on a single roll of the dice and there will be a gaming outcome – whether you win or lose, after every single throw. All players – new and old can benefit from easy one bet selections via on-screen options with just a click or a press.
Multi-roll bets are bets that could take a number of rolls before an outcome is achieved and there are several bets of these types for quick click and play.
#2 – Features
Numbers on the control panel will indicate the possible outcomes from the roll of the dice. Each of these numbers will also display a value that can be won should you happen to bet and that turns out to be the outcome. Bets can be placed from 0.50 to 5,000 with a real-time winner’s board produced after each round. You have 13 seconds to place your bets in each round. Cameras will follow the dice as they’re thrown onto the table in a setting which can only be described as being a very swanky bar during prohibition times.
Settings provide in-depth analysis and instructions on how to play and there are buttons for sounds as well as a chat feature to interact with the host and other players at your table. Prefer to control the speed of your own game? Try First-Person Craps, where you have no count-down timer, no live host and no chat features to distract you.
#3 – Easy as Pie
New to the game? ‘easy mode’ is a dedicated feature that aims to ease new players in gently, with a gaming screen houses fewer betting slots and as a result, a far more appealing and less cluttered interface is offered. All complexity has been removed with this feature and when players feel more confident and have a better understanding of the game, they can revert to the traditional Live Craps casino game with all the usual bets and on-screen features.
#4 – Tutorial
On the first launch there will be two options; play or learn how to play = the tutorial is informative and will go a long way in helping you achieve a win. Tips include ‘pass line’ and ‘come’ where rolling a 7 or 11 will award an instant win or a 2, 3 or 12 (craps) see you hit an instant loss. All other numbers establish a ‘point’ which keeps rolling until the point number is rolled for a win or a 7 is rolled for a loss.
‘Don’t pass’ sees instant wins awarded on a 2 or 3, 12 for a push or 7 and 11 for an instant loss. The field enables seven number bets with just the one bet; win on 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 and 12 – lose on 5, 6, 7 and 8. Other bets include ‘don’t come’, ‘hard ways’ and ‘one roll’ bets.
#5 – Statistics Make Perfect Play
See how other players are betting with the dynamic statistics board hung on the wall of the studio. Stats are constantly being updated as bets are being placed with spots reserved for top numbers and popular bets. Top Numbers shows the top five dice total results where most players have placed their bets. Popular Bets shows the top five-bet spots where most players have placed their bets.
